Bilibili
How to Keep Several Bilibili Accounts Apart With Chrome, Edge or Firefox Profiles (2026)
How do separate browser profiles keep Bilibili accounts apart?
Give each account its own profile. Chrome's Help page says profiles keep bookmarks, history, passwords and other settings separate, and Chromium's documentation says a profile's data includes cookies. Two accounts in one profile share one set of site data, while two profiles do not. For the basics, see what a browser profile is.
Bilibili's agreement points the same way. The Chinese copy, dated 1 September 2020, says you answer for everything done under your account (2.2) and may not lend it or let others use it without Bilibili's written consent (2.3). The pages read, on 3 October 2026, set no limit on simultaneous sign-ins. This guide does not cover other Bilibili domains such as bilibili.tv.
What a profile separates, and what it does not
| Item | Chrome profile | Firefox container |
|---|---|---|
| Cookies and site data | Separate per profile | Separate: cookies, localStorage, IndexedDB and caches |
| History and bookmarks | Separate per profile | Shared, not separated |
| Saved passwords | Separate per profile | Deliberately not separated |
| IP address and the computer | Unchanged | Unchanged |
Firefox profiles and Microsoft Edge profiles follow the same idea as Chrome's, described below; use each browser's own help page for exact labels.
Chrome, step by step
- Decide which Bilibili account belongs to which profile name before you start.
- In Chrome, at the top right, choose Profile, then Add Chrome profile, and follow the prompts, naming the profile after the account.
- In the new profile's window, open Bilibili's website and sign in with the options Bilibili shows. Download clients only from Bilibili's own channels; clause 1.3 calls them the sole legitimate source.
- For the next account, repeat the steps in a different profile.
- Next time, choose Profile at the top right and pick the profile you need.
To check the separation, open Bilibili in the second profile. If it asks you to sign in instead of showing the first account, the two profiles are separate. If you see the first account, you are still in the same profile, so check which profile the window belongs to before you sign in.
Edge and Firefox
- Edge: open its profile menu and add a new profile, then repeat the Chrome steps. Check Microsoft's help page for the labels.
- Firefox: the
about:profilespage lets you view and manage profiles. Firefox's documentation says several instances of the same application can run at the same time as long as each uses a different profile, and that starting a second instance on a profile already in use fails with a profile-in-use error. - Firefox containers: they separate cookies, localStorage, IndexedDB and caches inside one window, while history and bookmarks stay shared.
Naming and organising
| Part | Example | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Brand or client code | ACME | Whose account it is |
| Role | MAIN, LIVE | What the account is used for |
| Number | 01 | Tells apart accounts with the same role |
A full name might be ACME-MAIN-01. Keep a private sheet that maps each profile name to the account's UID, and never put passwords in profile names.
Three habits prevent most mix-ups:
- Keep one window per profile, and do not drag tabs between profiles.
- Never reuse a profile for a different account, even briefly.
- Record who may open each profile, and review the list when staff change.
Handing over a profile
Treat a hand-over as handing over the account. The Chinese agreement says that without Bilibili's written consent you may not lend an account or let others use it, and that Bilibili may suspend or cancel an account used by someone other than its registrant (2.3). So hand a profile over only for an account your organisation owns. For a company, Bilibili's verification Q&A describes an institution-verified account with an operator named in a signed authorisation letter; see the guide to company and agency accounts.
When someone leaves, change the password and ask customer service how to update the operator named in the letter. A personal account stays with its owner and is not passed on.
Backups, storage and cleanup
- A profile folder holds cookies. Chromium's documentation says the user data directory contains profile data such as history, bookmarks and cookies. On Windows its default location is
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data, and on macOS~/Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome. Protect it like a login credential: Bilibili says it does not compensate for losses from a leaked or stolen account (1.3). - Deleting a profile deletes its data. Chrome's Help page says the profile's bookmarks, history, passwords and other settings are erased from the computer, so note what you need first.
- A copy of the folder is a local backup only. It covers what the browser stores, nothing more.
- Log out when a computer is shared. The agreement asks users to log out safely after each login or use (2.5.2).
When ordinary profiles stop being enough
- Growing numbers. With dozens of accounts, creating, naming and opening profiles by hand gets slow and easy to get wrong.
- Mobile apps. Bilibili's download page lists Android and iPhone apps next to the Windows and Mac clients, and a browser profile does not run those.
- Sign-in trouble. Read the guide to sign-outs, suspensions and verification and the rules guide.
Where ADSSPEED fits
Past a handful of accounts, naming and opening profiles by hand becomes the bottleneck. ADSSPEED is a desktop app for Windows and macOS that manages many browser profiles, each with its own cookies, local data and browser settings. A proxy can be set per profile or assigned to many profiles in bulk, and profiles can be opened, stopped and organised in bulk. Profile data stays on your own computer. Android phone profiles, each with its own device configuration, run mobile apps from a PC.
Use only accounts you own or are authorised to manage, and follow Bilibili's rules. ADSSPEED is not affiliated with Bilibili.
Frequently asked questions
How do I log in to Bilibili on a PC with a second account?
Create a second browser profile, open Bilibili there and sign in with the other account. In Chrome that means Profile, then Add Chrome profile. The pages read do not describe Bilibili's sign-in screens, so use the options Bilibili itself shows.
Can I use Bilibili login on the web in separate browser profiles?
Yes in principle. Each profile keeps its own cookies and site data, so a sign-in in one profile does not appear in another. The Bilibili pages read set no limit on simultaneous sign-ins but also describe none, so test with accounts you own.
Can I use Bilibili login in the app and in a browser profile at once?
Bilibili's agreement says one account can log in to all products in its system, and its download page lists mobile apps. The pages read describe no account switching inside the apps, so keep each account in its own browser profile on the PC and test the rest yourself.
Should I log out of Bilibili when I close a profile?
Bilibili's agreement asks users to log out safely after each login or use. On a computer that only you use, a dedicated profile keeps its data on disk; on a shared computer, log out and close the profile, and protect the profile folder like a password.
Why can't I log in to Bilibili in a new profile?
The pages read list no sign-in error messages. A new profile starts with no saved sign-in, so you must sign in again. Check that you are using Bilibili's official website or client, then try Bilibili's Help Center or human customer service.
