Dailymotion Organizations: How to Manage Several Profiles and Add Team Members

By ADSSPEED Team · Published · Updated · 6 min read

How does a Dailymotion Organization let a team manage several profiles?

According to Dailymotion's Help Center (read 3 October 2026), an Organization is made of a parent profile, the main one, and child profiles, and every user in it has one of three roles: Owner, Admin or Editor. An Organization can have only one Owner, usually the person who created the account, and several Admins and Editors. The Q4 2024 release note describes the Studio change that renamed channels to profiles and put multi-profile management in one place.

Plan labels matter. The Help Center labels its pages on adding, editing and switching profiles for Pro Enterprise, and its page on inviting and managing users for Pro Advanced and Pro Enterprise. The labels are not identical across pages (the roles page itself carries a Pro Enterprise label), and that page adds that features may not be available depending on the organization's plan and that Dailymotion can change what each role may do with at least 7 days' notice to the Owner. Confirm what your plan includes with your Account Manager or Support.

The table condenses the Help Center's roles page, which has more rows. Admins and Editors see only the profiles the Owner gave them.

How do you invite, change and remove a team member?

Only the Owner can do this. The Help Center describes it for Studio:

  1. Open Organization settings > Users at the top right and click Add user.
  2. Enter the person's email address and choose a role.
  3. Choose the profiles that person may reach, then click Add.
  4. Dailymotion emails an invitation, and once the person accepts, the profiles you picked become available to them.

To change a role (Admin or Editor) or the profile list, use the three dots next to the user and choose Edit. To remove someone, choose Delete and confirm. Either way Dailymotion emails the user about the change.

The Help Center says that, for technical and security reasons, three kinds of address cannot be invited: one already tied to another organization, one belonging to an ordinary Dailymotion account that has uploaded videos, and one on a different domain. For the domain case it suggests contacting Support, which is worth knowing if colleagues or clients use addresses on different domains.

How do you work together without sharing a password?

  • Invite, do not share. The Terms make each account holder responsible for keeping credentials confidential and for everything done under the account, which one shared login makes hard to meet. An invitation gives each person a login of their own.
  • Use SSO if your plan has it. Single Sign-On is a plan feature. With just-in-time provisioning, people who sign in through your identity provider join the Organization without creating a password on dailymotion.com, and Make SSO required forces assigned users through SSO. The Owner must first prove control of the domain with a DNS TXT record, which can take up to 24 hours to propagate and occasionally 72. Release Note Q2 2026 adds that Owners can grant default SSO access to a subset of profiles instead of all.
  • Keep the Owner's mailbox under company control. Resets go to the account's email, and Dailymotion says it cannot recover a password for you. Use a mailbox the business controls, not a personal one.
  • Payout and users stay with the Owner. Per the roles page only the Owner sees earnings, changes payout details and manages users, and a 6-digit code goes to the registered email when a payment method is connected or disconnected.
  • API keys. Owners and Admins manage them. A private key's secret is shown only once, and deleting a key stops any application that still uses it.

What should you do when someone leaves?

  1. Remove the user: Organization settings > Users, the three dots, Delete, confirm.
  2. If the person could manage API keys (Owner or Admin), review the keys and delete any that should stop working.
  3. If they ever knew a password, change it. In Studio the Help Center's password page says to open the profile icon, then Profile > Edit password.
  4. Review profile access for the people who stay, and remove profiles you no longer need. Deleting a profile removes its content, domains, playlists and players, and cannot be undone.
  5. If the person leaving is the Owner, remember that an Organization cannot have more than one Owner, and that the pages read do not describe a hand-over. Ask Dailymotion Support before the Owner leaves.

What if something blocks you?

  • No Add user button. Only the Owner can invite users, and the feature depends on the plan.
  • An invitation is refused. Check the three restrictions above, and contact Support for the domain case.
  • A just-in-time user cannot sign in. Users created that way are tied to SSO, so they cannot log in if SSO is switched off for the Organization.
  • A colleague cannot see a profile. Check which profiles were selected at invitation and use Edit to change them.
  • Sign-in keeps failing. See the sign-in guide, and read the rules guide before changing anything about who holds an account.

Where ADSSPEED fits

Roles are Dailymotion's official way to share access; ADSSPEED helps the person who works across several accounts on one computer. ADSSPEED is a desktop app for Windows and macOS that manages many browser profiles. Each profile keeps its own cookies, local data and browser settings, so accounts you manage can stay signed in side by side without signing each other out. Profiles can be opened, stopped and organised in bulk, a proxy can be set per profile and assigned to many profiles in bulk, and profile data is kept on your own computer. New to the idea? Read what a browser profile is; for the general agency workflow see managing client accounts. ADSSPEED is not affiliated with Dailymotion.

Frequently asked questions

How do I add team members to a Dailymotion organization?

Only the Owner can. In Studio open Organization settings, then Users, click Add user, enter the email address, choose a role and the profiles that person can reach, then click Add. Dailymotion emails an invitation, and access starts when the person accepts.

What are the Dailymotion user roles?

An Organization has three roles. The Owner, only one per Organization and usually whoever created the account, holds every permission on the roles page, including users, payout details and SSO. Admins can manage media, Players and API keys, and Editors can manage media and view analytics for the profiles they are given.

Why can't I invite someone to my Dailymotion organization?

The Help Center says three kinds of address cannot be invited: one already tied to another organization, one belonging to an ordinary Dailymotion account with uploaded videos, and one on a different domain. Only the Owner can invite, and the feature depends on the plan. For the domain case, contact Support.

Do I need to share my password with my team or agency?

No. The Terms make you responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity under your account. Invite people with roles instead, or use SSO if your plan includes it. Only the Owner sees earnings and payout details, and Dailymotion cannot recover a lost password for you.

What is Dailymotion SSO and who can set it up?

Single Sign-On is a plan feature that the Owner sets up. The Owner must first prove control of the email domain with a DNS TXT record, which can take up to 24 hours to propagate and occasionally 72. Users added through just-in-time provisioning sign in only through SSO.

How do I remove someone from a Dailymotion organization?

As Owner, open Organization settings, then Users, use the three dots next to the person, choose Delete and confirm. Dailymotion emails them about the change. Then review any API keys they could manage, and change any password they ever knew in Studio under Profile, Edit password.
