How to Manage a Dribbble Team Account: Owners, Members, Seats and Access
How do you manage several people under one Dribbble Team?
Create a Team, make the people who run it Team Owners, and add everyone else as Team Members. Dribbble's Help Center (read 3 October 2026) says a Team needs a Pro subscription on the Standard or Plus plan, is created under Account Settings > Teams, and makes your personal account its first Team Owner.
Because the Team has no username or password, each person keeps using their own account and no login is passed around. The Community Guidelines limit Team profiles to design agencies and in-house design teams: every member must work for the agency or team, and Owners may not be paid in return for seats.
Team Owner or Team Member: who can do what
| Action | Team Owner | Team Member |
|---|---|---|
| Edit the Team profile | Yes | No |
| Add and remove members | Yes | No |
| Create more Team Owners | Yes | No |
| Manage billing details and view receipts | Yes | No |
| Upload shots as the Team alone, using Use Dribbble as | Yes | No |
| Comment, like and follow as the Team | Yes | No |
A Team needs at least one Owner and can have as many as it needs. Members still have a way to contribute: they choose Publish as at the top of the upload screen, the shot shows on both the Team profile and their own with dual attribution, and they can attribute an earlier shot to the team from its Edit link.
Set up a Team, step by step
- Subscribe to Pro Standard or Plus on your own account. The Help Center says this must come first.
- Open Account Settings > Teams and create the Team. Your personal account becomes a Team Owner who can handle billing, add teammates and post as the Team.
- Ask each teammate to sign up for a free account if they do not have one. Then open Account Settings > Team Members, search for them and add them. Members need no Designer application, because the Help Center says all members automatically receive public profiles.
- If the Team is at capacity, you can still add the person: choose them and follow the prompt to add a seat, which comes with billing instructions.
- Add a second Team Owner so that the Team does not depend on one person. The Help Center says the only Owner cannot be removed.
The Pro plans page (read 3 October 2026) lists 3 team seats for Pro Standard and 10 for Pro Plus. A Team cannot be created by converting an existing profile, and Dribbble cannot move shots or followers from an old account into a new Team.
Pro features: who gets what
| Person | Pro features on their personal profile |
|---|---|
| Original Team Owner, or the oldest remaining Owner | Yes, matching the Pro Standard tier on both plans |
| Additional Team Owner | No |
| Team Member | No, they need their own Pro subscription |
Additional Owners do get Pro-level capabilities while they act on behalf of the Team: managing its profile, publishing and editing Team shots, and updating its Services and Project Brief credits. Project Brief credits belong to the Team plan and apply only when you act as the Team profile, not on a personal profile.
Access without shared passwords
The Help Center says you cannot sign in to a Team directly. Access runs through each person's own account, so the Team is only as well protected as those personal sign-ins: give every Owner a strong, unique password and keep control of the email address that receives reset links. The pages read for this guide describe no two-step verification for Dribbble sign-in, so do not assume one exists. The Terms also rule out passing login details or account access to clients or teammates unless extra terms for the account type allow it. If nobody remembers who the Owner is, contact Dribbble's support team.
For the general habit of keeping ownership clear and removing people when a project ends, see how agencies manage client accounts, which uses ad platforms as its example.
Off-boarding and handing over
- Remove the person. Open Account Settings > Team Members and press Remove next to their name.
- Check their work. It stays on the Team profile. Owners can remove any Team shot with Edit on the shot page.
- Move ownership. Add the new person as a Team Owner, then remove yourself as Team Owner and Member, which removes every connection between your account and the Team. Remove personal billing information first.
- Do not plan to move a subscription. The Help Center says Pro, Job Listing and Designer Search subscriptions cannot be moved between accounts.
- Deleting a Team. Use Dribbble as the Team, then go to Privacy & Security in Account Settings and select Delete Account. Deleting cancels the Pro subscription and cannot be undone. A sole Owner who wants to delete a personal account must first assign a new Owner or delete the Team.
If something goes wrong
| Problem | What Dribbble says | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| The Team is still inactive after you bought Pro | You likely bought a personal subscription instead of renewing the Team's | Check the Refund Policy, then repurchase after choosing Use Dribbble as your Team |
| You cannot find the Team in your avatar menu | Only Team Owners can reach it | Ask an Owner to post as the Team, or to make you an Owner if that is the role you need |
| Nobody remembers the Owner | Contact Dribbble's support team | Raise a support request |
| You want to remove the only Owner | A Team must keep at least one Owner | Add a second Owner first |
Where ADSSPEED fits
ADSSPEED is a desktop app for Windows and macOS that manages many browser profiles. Every profile keeps its own cookies, local data and browser settings, so each Owner and Member can keep their own Dribbble sign-in in a profile of their own, side by side on one computer. Profiles can be opened, stopped and organised in bulk, and data stays on your own computer. It does not change how Teams work or what Dribbble allows. Use it only with accounts you own or are authorised to manage, and follow Dribbble's rules. ADSSPEED is not affiliated with Dribbble.
Frequently asked questions
How does a Dribbble team account work?
A Pro Standard or Plus subscriber creates the Team under Account Settings > Teams, and that personal account becomes a Team Owner. The Team has no username or password, so Owners act as the Team from the avatar menu with Use Dribbble as, and Team Members post to it with the Publish as option.
Who can add or remove members on a Dribbble Team?
Only Team Owners. They open Account Settings > Team Members, search for the person and add them, or use the Remove button next to a name. Someone who is not on Dribbble yet needs to sign up for a free account first.
How many members can a Dribbble Team have?
Dribbble's Pro plans page, read on 3 October 2026, lists 3 team seats for Pro Standard and 10 for Pro Plus. A Team at capacity can still add a member, because the Help Center says a prompt then offers to add a seat with billing instructions.
What happens to a member's shots when they leave a Dribbble Team?
The Help Center says a removed member's work remains on the Team profile. Team Owners can take down any Team shot with the Edit feature on the detailed shot view, so the Team keeps control of what is left.
Can I turn my existing Dribbble profile into a Team?
No. Creating a Team does not convert an existing account, and Dribbble cannot transfer shots, followers or other data from an existing account to a Team profile. A Team is always created as a new profile from Account Settings > Teams.
How do I hand a Dribbble Team over to someone else?
Add the new person as a Team Owner, then remove yourself as Team Owner and Member, which removes the connections between your account and the Team. Take personal billing information off the account first, because subscriptions cannot be moved between accounts.
Do Team Members get Pro features?
Not on their personal accounts. Members need their own Pro subscription. The original Team Owner gets personal benefits matching Pro Standard, and additional Owners get Pro-level capabilities only while acting for the Team.
