How to Keep Several Quora Logins Apart on One PC With Separate Browser Profiles
Can a separate browser profile keep Quora logins apart?
For stored sign-ins, yes. Chrome Help (read 3 October 2026) says profiles let you keep your Chrome information separate, with bookmarks, history, passwords and other settings as examples, and it names work and personal accounts as a use. Chromium's documentation says the user data directory holds profile data such as history, bookmarks and cookies, with each profile in its own subfolder. A Quora sign-in made inside one profile stays in that profile; what a browser profile is covers the general idea.
What a profile does not do is turn one computer into several. All profiles run on the same machine and connection, and Chrome Help warns that if someone has your device they can switch to any other profile on it.
Two Quora details shape the plan. The Help Center page on getting the app lists only Android and iOS apps, so on a computer the browser profile is your unit. And a company presence may not need a second profile at all, because a Business Profile is reached with Switch Accounts inside one login.
What does a profile separate, and what does it leave alone?
| Item | Kept apart by a profile? | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Quora sign-in and site data | Yes | Cookies sit in the profile's own folder, per Chromium's documentation |
| Bookmarks, history, saved passwords, settings | Yes | Named on Chrome Help's profile page |
| Which Quora profile you act as, user or Business Profile | Not a browser matter | Use Switch Accounts inside Quora |
| The computer and its connection | No | Every profile runs on the same machine |
| Who can open the profile | No | Anyone with the device can switch profiles |
| Quora's rules and each account's standing | No | They follow the account, not the browser |
Other browsers have their own versions. Mozilla's design page describes Firefox Containers as persistent contexts that isolate sites, separating cookies, localStorage, indexedDB and caches. Edge and Firefox also have profile switchers with menus unlike Chrome's, so follow each browser's current help page.
How do you set up one profile per Quora account?
- List the accounts first. One line each: the owner, the role, the Quora sign-in address and whether the account signs in with a password, Google or Facebook.
- Open Chrome, select the profile icon at the top right, then choose Add Chrome profile.
- Pick a name, photo and colour scheme. Chrome Help says that if you sign in to Chrome with a Google Account the profile takes that account's name, so settle on a naming scheme before you do.
- Open quora.com inside the new profile and sign in with that one account.
- Match the signs. The profile icon in Chrome and the avatar on Quora should tell the same story before you post.
- Repeat for each account. To move between them, select the profile icon and choose the profile you want.
- Confirm the separation once. Sign out of Quora in one profile and check that the other profile still shows its own account.
How should you name, hand over and back up profiles?
| Practice | What to do | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Naming | Brand - Quora - owner, with one colour per brand | You spot the wrong profile before you post |
| Hand-over | Add the next person as a Business Profile admin, a Space role holder or an Ads Manager user, using their own Quora profile | Quora's articles describe these as the way to share access, and each person keeps a personal login |
| Retiring a profile | Remove it only after access has moved | Chrome Help says removal erases its bookmarks, history, passwords and other settings from the computer |
| Recovery details | Keep each account's email current | Quora sends password-reset emails only to the address tied to the account |
| Backups | Treat a copy of a profile folder like a password. Chrome's Windows default is %LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data and the macOS default is ~/Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome | Chromium lists cookies among the profile data |
| Chrome sign-in | Decide whose Google Account may sync a profile | Chrome Help says signing in lets you save bookmarks, passwords and other settings to that account and use them on other devices |
What if Quora behaves differently inside one profile?
- Read the profile icon. Are you in the profile you meant?
- Check which Quora profile you act as. The avatar and the Switch Accounts menu show whether a Business Profile is active.
- Log out and in again. On the desktop site, use the profile menu at the top right and the Logout link at the bottom. If sign-in itself fails, see Quora login problems and recovery.
- Try the same account in a second profile. If it behaves there, the stored data in the first profile is the suspect, so clear Quora's site data in that profile only.
- If the site fails everywhere, use Contact Us in the Help Center and choose Report a Bug.
When do ordinary profiles stop being enough?
| Sign | What helps |
|---|---|
| The profile list no longer fits in a spreadsheet or in your head | Opening, stopping and organising profiles in bulk |
| Accounts need their own network settings | A proxy per profile; see proxy types explained |
| You also use Quora's Android app | Android phone profiles, each with its own device configuration; see what an antidetect phone is |
| You are weighing private windows, VPNs and profiles | Antidetect browser vs VPN vs incognito |
None of these changes Quora's rules, and none replaces each person's own Quora login.
Where ADSSPEED fits
ADSSPEED is a desktop app for Windows and macOS that manages many browser profiles in one place. Each profile keeps its own cookies, local data and browser settings, so accounts you own or are authorised to manage can stay signed in side by side without signing each other out. Profiles can be opened, stopped and organised in bulk, and a proxy can be set per profile and assigned to many profiles in bulk. Profile data stays on your own computer. Android phone profiles, each with its own device configuration, cover mobile apps on a PC. See how to install ADSSPEED on Windows. ADSSPEED is not affiliated with Quora.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use two Quora accounts in two Chrome profiles?
For sign-ins and saved data, yes: Chrome Help says profiles keep bookmarks, history, passwords and other settings separate, so each profile can hold its own Quora sign-in. Quora's stated policy is one account per person, so use profiles only for accounts you own or are authorised to manage.
How do I open Quora with a different account on the same computer?
Open the Chrome profile menu at the top right and choose the profile that holds that account. If the second identity is a Business Profile you administer, use Switch Accounts inside Quora instead. Quora's Help Center describes no way to hold two personal sign-ins in one profile.
Does a Chrome profile stop other people from opening my Quora session?
No. Chrome Help warns that if someone has your device, they can switch to any other Chrome profile on it. A profile organises stored data but does not lock it, so protect the computer itself and never leave a signed-in profile open for a colleague.
What happens if I delete a Chrome profile that holds a Quora login?
Chrome Help says that after you remove a profile, its bookmarks, history, passwords and other settings are erased from the computer. Before removing one, make sure you can still sign in: Quora sends password-reset emails only to the address tied to the account.
Where does Chrome keep profile data on Windows?
Chromium's documentation gives %LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data as the default for Chrome on Windows, with each profile in a subfolder, often named Default. The folder holds profile data such as history, bookmarks and cookies, so treat any copy of it like a password.
Do I need a second profile to use a Quora Business Profile?
Not for that purpose. Quora's business support article describes Switch Accounts in the profile menu for moving between your user profile and the Business Profiles you administer. Separate browser profiles are for separate people or separate accounts, not for the Business Profile switch.
