Can You Share a SoundCloud Account With a Manager or Label? The Official Options

By ADSSPEED Team · Published · Updated · 6 min read

Can you share a SoundCloud account with a manager or label?

You can, but SoundCloud's Help Center advises against it, even with people you trust. According to its page on sharing access (read 3 October 2026), shared access leaves you at risk of changes being made, or of the account being deleted, without your consent. The same page says the owner of the email address used at sign-up is considered the account owner, and that if you share anyway you should use an email address everyone can reach.

The team route the Help Center describes is narrower: SoundCloud for Artists lets an Artist Pro subscriber add a third-party collaborator in the Access tab of Settings. The pages read describe no business manager, no role levels and no label account with several artists inside.

Who counts as the owner of a SoundCloud account?

The Help Center is consistent on this: the only means SoundCloud has of verifying ownership is the email address used to create the account. The Email requirements page adds that this address indicates ownership for as long as the account exists.

SituationWhat the Help Center says
Someone asks who owns the accountThe person who controls the email address used at sign-up
A manager or agency created the account for youYou need the person who created it to add your email address to the account
You shared an account and were locked outSoundCloud says it cannot mediate personal disagreements; if you cannot regain the sign-up email, it cannot transfer the account to another address
You cannot get the sign-up email backYou can report the account for impersonation, copyright or trademark reasons, or follow legal process
You lost the sign-up email entirelyContact support with the linked email, creation date, last sign-in date, last IP address, names of private or deleted tracks and a new email not linked to another account; without verified ownership SoundCloud cannot grant access

The practical consequence, drawn from those pages: if an account will belong to an artist or a client, create it with an email address the owner controls, and give other people access through the dashboard rather than through the password.

How do you add a manager or collaborator in SoundCloud for Artists?

According to the Help Center page on managing a SoundCloud for Artists account (updated 29 September 2026):

  1. Check that you and the collaborator are both subscribed to Artist Pro; the page says both must be to grant access.
  2. In the SoundCloud for Artists dashboard, click your name in the top right corner, then Settings.
  3. Open the Access tab.
  4. Add the collaborator by entering their SoundCloud channel information. It must be the channel they use to log in to their own SoundCloud for Artists account.

Know the limits. Only one SoundCloud account can be associated with a dashboard. Changing the connected account means SoundCloud has to cancel and refund your existing SoundCloud for Artists account, and the new one carries no data from the old one. Deleting the SoundCloud account disables the dashboard. Email and password changes are made in the settings of the connected SoundCloud profile. The page describes adding a collaborator but not removing one or setting role levels, so check the Access tab itself.

How do labels and distributors fit in?

PersonWhat the Help Center documents
Account ownerControls the sign-up email; signs in, changes the password, adds or removes email addresses, turns on 2FA, connects or disconnects Google, Facebook or Apple sign-in and can delete the account
Artist Pro ownerAdds a third-party collaborator in the dashboard's Access tab
CollaboratorGets access through the SoundCloud channel used for their own SoundCloud for Artists login, and needs Artist Pro too
Label, distributor or rightsholderCan create accounts on an artist's behalf; delivers music through an automated supply chain and specifies the profile a track appears on

For tracks delivered that way, the Help Center says creators cannot edit or delete them from their account settings. If an account made by a label has no image of you, has the word official or music in its URL and holds your tracks, it says to contact the label, distributor or rightsholder directly about removing or managing it.

How do you keep a shared setup in order?

TaskWhereWhat the Help Center says
Add a second email addressSettings, Add an email addressConfirm through the link sent to the new address; a secondary address helps prevent a lock-out
Change the primary emailSettings, Make primaryA 6-digit code goes to the current email to confirm; sign-in alerts go to the primary address
Turn on 2FAWebsite Settings, Two-Factor Authentication tabAuthenticator app, no SMS; applies to web and mobile; backup codes can be downloaded only once
Reset a passwordAccount Settings, Send password reset linkThe link goes to all email addresses connected to the account
Review connected appsSettings, Connected applicationsRevoke all and Revoke all and sign out end sessions on every device

Because 2FA codes live in one person's authenticator app, store the backup codes where the owner can reach them. When someone leaves:

  1. If they were a dashboard collaborator, check the Access tab, since the page describes adding but not removing.
  2. If they knew the password, reset it, then Revoke all and Revoke all and sign out, remove email addresses you do not recognise or no longer use, and review the connected applications.
  3. If they control the sign-up email, ownership follows that email, so use the conflict-of-ownership route rather than another login.

What if access goes wrong?

  • Locked out of a shared account. The Help Center sorts it by relationship: the account was set up for you by someone else, or you shared it and were removed. Both lead back to the ownership rules above.
  • Hacked. Set a strong password, revoke connections, add a secondary email and remove unknown addresses. If you cannot get in, the Trust and Safety team can be reached through the chatbot.
  • Deleted by someone else. Contact Support through the chatbot; once restored, repeat the four security steps.
  • Sign-up email lost. The Help Center says it will do its best, but if it cannot verify ownership it cannot grant access.

For the rules that apply to shared logins, see the rules guide. Sign-in alerts and 2FA prompts are covered in the sign-out guide.

Where ADSSPEED fits

ADSSPEED is a desktop app for Windows and macOS that manages many browser profiles. Each profile keeps its own cookies, local data and browser settings, so accounts you manage can stay signed in side by side without signing each other out. Profiles can be opened, stopped and organised in bulk, and profile data is kept on your own computer. It does not change who owns a SoundCloud account or how access is granted. Setup is in installing ADSSPEED on Windows. ADSSPEED is not affiliated with SoundCloud.

Frequently asked questions

Can you share a SoundCloud account?

The Help Center advises against it, even with people you trust, because shared access leaves the account open to changes or deletion without your consent. If you share anyway, it says to use an email address everyone can reach, since the owner is whoever controls the sign-up address.

How do you add a collaborator to a SoundCloud account?

For a SoundCloud for Artists dashboard, open Settings from your name at the top right, choose the Access tab and enter the collaborator's SoundCloud channel information. The Help Center says both you and the collaborator must be subscribed to Artist Pro, and the channel must be the one they use to log in.

Can you change your SoundCloud email?

Yes. Open Settings, add the new address, confirm it through the link SoundCloud sends, then choose Make primary. The Help Center says a 6-digit code is sent to your current email to confirm the change. An address already linked to another SoundCloud account cannot be attached.

How do I log in to SoundCloud for Artists?

The Help Center says that when you sign up for Artist Pro you give the SoundCloud account you want to log in with, and that only one SoundCloud account can be connected to a dashboard. Once in, click your name at the top right, then Settings, to reach account details and the Access tab.

Can a label have a SoundCloud account for its artists?

The Help Center says official representatives of artists, meaning labels, distributors or rightsholders, can create accounts on artists' behalf. The pages read describe no separate label account type that holds several artists, so each profile remains an account with its own sign-up email.
