Can You Use Two Vimeo Accounts on One Computer? Switching Teams, Workspaces and Logins

By ADSSPEED Team · Published · Updated · 6 min read

Can you stay logged in to two Vimeo accounts on one computer?

The Help Center pages read for this guide describe one Vimeo login at a time in a browser: you log out, then you log in again. According to Vimeo's Help Center (read 3 October 2026), the login link takes you to your Vimeo homepage if you are already logged in, and none of the pages read describe two separate Vimeo logins open together in one browser. What Vimeo does document is switching between teams and Workspaces under a single login, which settles many "two accounts" situations without a second login at all.

This guide covers vimeo.com in a desktop browser. Vimeo OTT sites have their own login and logout pages in the Help Center and are not covered here.

What does Vimeo document for logging out and switching?

TaskWhat the Help Center saysSurface
Log outHover over your profile icon at the top right and choose Log out at the bottom of the menuvimeo.com in a browser
Log out in the appScroll down to find Log outMobile app
Switch teamsOn the homepage, click your profile avatar and pick a team from the dropdown below your name and emailvimeo.com in a browser
Log out of an Enterprise teamOpen the dropdown next to your profile icon and team name; Log out is the last item. If your account is linked to several teams, you cannot log out of just onevimeo.com in a browser
Switch WorkspacesSelect the current Workspace name at the top right and choose another; the option appears only if you belong to more than one Workspacevimeo.com in a browser

Switching Workspaces matters because, in Vimeo's words, it "changes the entire context of your account": the videos, folders and settings you see belong to the Workspace you picked.

One login with several teams, or two separate logins?

Decide what you are really trying to do, because the answer changes the setup.

  • Personal and work videos. On a team, Vimeo gives you two spaces under one login: My Library, which it says is not shown to teammates, and the Team Library, shared with the team. Creating a team is optional and starts from Start your team in your Library.
  • An agency working inside a client's team. The client invites you by email and you switch teams from the avatar menu. If you already have an account you want to link, Vimeo says to use the correct email address in the invitation.
  • Two separate identities you are authorised to run, such as two companies. These need two logins. Vimeo's ownership-transfer page says each Vimeo account needs a unique email.

One warning applies to the first two cases. Vimeo's page on Enterprise account access says that when you join an Enterprise team, control of your account and its content shifts to the Enterprise. It adds that an organisation may automatically add an existing account that was created with an organisation-assigned email address once the organisation sets up Enterprise. Keep personal videos in an account that is not tied to an employer. The team roles guide explains who can do what.

How do you run two logins side by side?

  1. Take turns in one browser. Log out, then log in with the other account's email and password, or with its Facebook, Google or Apple button, depending on how it was created. This is the route the Help Center describes, and it signs you out of the first account each time.
  2. Give each login its own browser profile. A Chrome profile keeps bookmarks, history, passwords and settings separate, and Chromium keeps cookies in the same per-profile folder, so two profiles can stay signed in to two Vimeo accounts together. Mozilla says Firefox containers let you log into multiple accounts on the same site. Steps are in the profiles guide; the idea itself is explained in what a browser profile is.
  3. Ask whether you need a second login at all. If colleagues need access, a team role does the job without anyone sharing a password.

What about duplicate accounts you did not mean to create?

Vimeo's Help Center says it often hears from people who accidentally created more than one account by logging in through Facebook, Google or Apple, which can happen when you follow those prompts in the app or a mobile browser. The same page says Vimeo cannot merge accounts but can move videos from one account to another.

GoalThe route the Help Center describes
Move videos between two self-serve accountsThe account owner sends a support ticket with Vimeo's transfer agreement, and each account holder must reply from that account's primary login email. Video URLs and IDs stay the same, analytics start again, and the videos arrive in the main library set to Private / Embed only. Collections such as Showcases and Folders do not move
Bring several accounts into a new Enterprise accountThe Implementation Manager does the consolidation. Video IDs are kept, but video analytics do not carry over
Delete a duplicateVimeo can only delete an account for someone who can prove it is theirs, and Support cannot restore an account you deleted yourself
Find a login that used Apple's Hide My EmailVimeo only holds a random address from Apple, so use Apple's own page for managing apps that use Sign in with Apple

If switching does not work

  • There is no team or Workspace switcher. The Workspace option appears only if you belong to more than one Workspace. For a team, ask the admin which email they invited; Vimeo's invitation page says they may need to re-invite you if there was an error.
  • You opened the wrong account. Log out and log in again, then check the name and email shown under your avatar.
  • You cannot log out of one team only. For logins linked to several Enterprise teams, Vimeo says that is not possible.
  • You keep being logged out. Read why Vimeo keeps logging you out.

Where ADSSPEED fits

ADSSPEED is a Windows and macOS desktop app that organises many browser profiles. A profile there carries its own cookies, local data and browser settings, which means two Vimeo logins you are entitled to use can stay open next to each other instead of taking turns. Profiles can be started, stopped and sorted in bulk, and the profile data stays on your own computer. None of this changes how Vimeo handles accounts or what its rules permit. Setup is covered in installing ADSSPEED on Windows. ADSSPEED is not affiliated with Vimeo.

Frequently asked questions

Can you log in to two Vimeo accounts at the same time?

The Help Center pages read describe logging out and logging in again, and the login link redirects an already logged-in visitor to the homepage. They do not describe two Vimeo logins open together in one browser. Separate browser profiles keep two logins apart on your side, and team switching covers many cases without a second login.

Can you merge two Vimeo accounts?

No. Vimeo's Help Center says it cannot merge accounts, but it can move videos from one account to another. Owners of self-serve accounts ask for this through a support ticket, and each account holder must reply from their own primary login email before the transfer can go ahead.

What is the difference between Team Library and My Library on Vimeo?

Vimeo says My Library is your personal space and is not shown to your teammates, while the Team Library is the space shared with your team. You see both only when you are part of a team. If you use Vimeo on your own, you have a single Library.

How do you switch Workspaces in Vimeo?

Select your current Workspace name in the top-right corner of the navigation bar, open the dropdown under your name and choose the Workspace you want. Vimeo says the option appears only if you belong to more than one Workspace, and that switching changes the videos, folders and settings you see.

How do you log out of a Vimeo team account?

On vimeo.com hover over your profile icon and choose Log out at the bottom of the menu. For an Enterprise team, open the dropdown next to your profile icon and team name, where Log out is the last item. Vimeo says you cannot log out of only one team if your account is linked to several.

Does Vimeo have a team account?

Yes, in the sense of invited team members with roles. Vimeo's member-roles page says the roles feature requires a paid plan, and its libraries page says creating a team is optional. Enterprise customers can add Organizations and Workspaces by contacting their account manager.
