How Do You Manage Several Artists on Bandcamp? Label Accounts, Invites and Access Without Sharing Passwords

By ADSSPEED Team · Published · Updated · 6 min read

How do you manage several artists on Bandcamp the official way?

With a label account that holds a roster of artist pages. According to Bandcamp's Help Center (read 3 October 2026), you add artists from the +add menu (one Help Center page calls it Add): existing artist sends an email invite, and new artist creates a page for someone who is not yet on Bandcamp. You can later give an artist a login of their own with give access. The Help Center presents these tools as a way for labels and artists to work together without anyone handing over a login.

The pages read for this guide describe no admin or editor roles and no two-factor sign-in. The access model is invitations, separate logins, connected accounts and, for shipping, fulfillment partners.

What does a label account change compared with an artist account?

  • Conversion is one-way. To turn an artist page into a label account, log in and follow the prompts at bandcamp.com/labels. Music, merch, images, stats and followers carry over, and you assign each release to artist pages reachable from the label account. The Help Center says moving back to an artist account afterwards is not possible.
  • Not every label needs one. A label that mostly issues one-off reissues should probably stay with an artist account and use the custom artist field on each release.
  • One page per artist is recommended. The Help Center says each artist then gets a distinct design, image, bio and URL, and ties the separate URL to search visibility.

How do you add an artist, give access or remove one?

GoalWhereWhat happens
Add an artist already on Bandcamp+add > existing artistThe artist receives an email invite; once they accept, the label can add releases to their page
Add an artist not yet on Bandcamp+add > new artistYou create the page and can give the artist access later
Give an artist their own loginRoll over their image on your Artists page, select give access, enter their emailThey get a unique login separate from the label login
Hide an artistThe hide toggle under their imageThe label can still sell their items, but neither the artist nor their releases appear on the label page
Remove an artistRoll over their image, select removeThe page and its contents pass to the artist; payment settings are not updated automatically

The Help Center also describes adding an artist page by password authentication, which it says gives the label full access to the artist's account, including page design and profile settings.

Who can do what once an artist joins?

  • The label, if the artist accepts its invite, can upload releases and merch to the artist's page for which it receives payments.
  • The artist keeps their items, stats and payment information.
  • Both sides see only the releases that pay them.
  • Several labels are allowed: the Help Center says there is no limit on how many labels an artist can be attached to.

Why not share one password?

The Terms make you solely responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your password confidential, and forbid using another user's account without their express permission. Bandcamp's own tools avoid the problem: an invite asks the artist for access, and give access creates a separate login. Because none of the pages read describes two-factor sign-in, there is no documented second lock on a shared login either. The password route above only makes sense if the artist knowingly agrees to it, since the Terms require the other user's express permission.

What about fulfillment partners and your own several accounts?

Bandcamp describes a distinct account type for people who ship merch for artists and labels. A seller starts it with the Add Fulfillment Partner tool at the top of their Merch Orders page, entering the email address the partner wants associated with their account. The partner gets merch order information but no other account details, can be limited to specific shipping origins, and may request access to the Merch Orders API. Someone working for several sellers should click each invite link while logged in.

If you personally run several Bandcamp accounts, connect them under Settings > Connected Accounts in a desktop browser, as the multiple-accounts guide explains.

How do you hand over or off-board?

SituationOfficial routeWatch out for
An artist leaves the labelThe label selects remove on their imagePayment settings stay until the artist changes the recipient; a release cannot be moved back to the label page
You want to delete an artist or label accountpermanently delete this account on the Profile pageIf the account is linked to a label, the label must unlink it first or the option stays hidden
A release belongs on another pageAppend /label_conversion to your label URL and follow the toolThe Help Center calls this a one-way street
An artist already has a pageShare the existing page with Add > Existing ArtistTwo pages cannot be merged later, and a duplicate release cannot be merged either; set the lesser-sold one to private
Someone who knew a shared password leavesChange the password and login email in SettingsBandcamp notifies the old and new address when the login email changes

What if an invite or a page goes wrong?

  • The invite never arrives. It goes to the login email shown on the artist's Settings page. The artist should check that inbox, and the label can resend the invite from the Artists page.
  • You get an invitation from someone you do not know. The Help Center says no action is required: ignore it, or use the Contact link on their Bandcamp page, and forward abuse of the feature to Bandcamp.
  • Two pages exist for one artist. The Help Center says a second page confuses fans and cannot later be merged, so connect to the existing artist instead.

Where ADSSPEED fits

If you run logins for a label and its artists, ADSSPEED can give each login its own browser profile. ADSSPEED is a desktop app for Windows and macOS that manages many browser profiles; every profile keeps its own cookies, local data and browser settings, so accounts you manage stay signed in side by side without signing each other out. Profiles can be opened, stopped and organised in bulk, and profile data stays on your own computer. ADSSPEED does not give anyone access to a Bandcamp page: that still comes from Bandcamp's invites and give access logins, one for each person. What a browser profile is explains the idea. ADSSPEED is not affiliated with Bandcamp.

Frequently asked questions

What is a Bandcamp label account?

It is an account that holds a roster of artist pages. The Help Center says you can convert an existing artist page by following the prompts at bandcamp.com/labels, and that your music, merch, images, stats and followers come along. Moving back to an artist account afterwards is not possible.

What is the difference between a Bandcamp label account and an artist account?

A label account holds a roster of artist pages: you add artists, give them access, hide or remove them, and assign releases to their pages. The Help Center says a label that mostly issues one-off reissues should probably stay with an artist account and use the custom artist field on each release.

How do you add an artist to a Bandcamp label?

Use the +add menu in the navigation bar. Choose existing artist if the artist is already on Bandcamp, which sends them an email invite, or new artist if they are not. If an artist accepts a label invite, the label can add releases and merch to their page and receives payment for those releases.

How does an artist get a separate login from the label?

If the label created the artist page, it can roll over the artist's image on its Artists page, select give access and enter the artist's email address. The Help Center says this creates a unique login that is separate from the label login.

How do you create a Bandcamp label account?

The Help Center page read describes converting an existing artist page: log in and follow the prompts at bandcamp.com/labels, then assign each release to an artist page. It warns that the change is one-way, so read its label FAQs in full before you start.
