Bandcamp Login Not Working With Several Accounts? Wrong Account, Password Reset and Cookie Fixes
Why is Bandcamp login not working when you have several accounts?
Bandcamp's Help Center (read 3 October 2026) documents a handful of causes, and none of them is a sign-in security check. The pages read for this guide describe no verification code, two-factor step or unusual-login screen, and searching the Help Center for two-factor, 2fa and hacked found no article on them. What it does cover is landing in the wrong account, forgotten details, emails that never arrive and browser settings, so this guide sticks to those and says where the documentation stops.
| What you see | What the Help Center says | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Your email opens the wrong account | You probably have several accounts set up with the same email address | Log in with the username, or link the accounts under Settings |
| You always land on your artist page | A fan and an artist account are connected, and the artist view opens first | Use the avatar menu; view collection leads to the fan side |
| You bought music but cannot log in as a fan | Bandcamp does not create an account when you make a purchase | Sign up as a fan with the email address used for the purchase |
| You forgot the password | The Help Center points to its password reset page | Open bandcamp.com/forgot_password |
| You forgot the email or the username | Try one in place of the other | If neither works, Bandcamp may help after confirming you own the account |
| The reset email never arrives | Bandcamp's emails may be getting stopped by spam filtering | Add support@bandcamp.com to your approved senders and try again |
| The activation email never arrives | It goes to the address used at sign-up; check spam or junk | Follow any account or add a wishlist item to resend it; use Change email after a typo |
| You can no longer open the login email | Bandcamp must confirm you are the owner | Contact Bandcamp support |
What does the Help Center suggest for browser problems?
Its General troubleshooting page (updated 10 June 2026) lists these steps, in this order:
- Check Bandcamp's status feed, which the page links. If it says all is good, the problem is most likely with your machine or device.
- Turn off extensions and plug-ins one at a time, then quit and reopen the browser.
- Make sure cookies are enabled, including third-party cookies. The page says Bandcamp uses cookies for a consistent experience across its website, and Bandcamp's privacy policy (effective 23 September 2025) adds that with cookies disabled some parts of the service may not work properly.
- Clear the browser's cache.
- Try another browser. The page recommends Chrome or Firefox and says Bandcamp cannot help fix browser-specific issues.
- Temporarily disable antivirus, firewall or other security tools, then restart the computer.
- Check the network. On a business or school network, the page says to contact IT staff.
For an activation link that will not work, the Help Center adds a specific tip: open it in a new private browser window so that old browser data cannot interfere.
Why do a cart or a download prompt vanish when you change browser or profile?
Two Help Center pages show that part of what Bandcamp remembers sits in the browser rather than in an account.
- The cart. The page says cart history is stored via browser cookies, so clearing cookies, or switching device or browser, resets it. It suggests going back to the original browser, or logging in to a fan account and using the wishlist, which the page says is saved and available anywhere you log in.
- The download prompt. Another page says that once someone gives an email address for an email-required download, they are not asked again from the same browser for the same band unless they clear their cookies.
If you use several browser profiles, expect these browser-held items to differ between them. Your fan wishlist does not: it belongs to the account.
How do you tell a real Bandcamp message from a fake one?
Bandcamp's page on suspicious messages (updated 29 June 2026) gives these checks:
- Bandcamp only contacts you from addresses ending in @bandcamp.com, never through the contact form on your Bandcamp page, and never asks for your password or card details in an email.
- Links to Bandcamp's login page should use a bandcamp.com address; hover over a link to check, because look-alike domains exist.
- When the login or payment email on an account changes, Bandcamp sends a notification to both the old and the new address. If you think a change was made without your permission, contact Bandcamp.
- If you handed over login details, reset your password, including on any other service where you use the same one. If you can no longer reach the account, contact Bandcamp.
Do not reply to a suspicious message: the page says to report it instead.
What if you still cannot get in?
- Reset the password from the reset page. If several accounts share your email, log in with the username afterwards.
- If you have forgotten both the username and the email, send Bandcamp support as much as you can: your profile URL and your best guess at the login email or username. The Help Center says it will need to confirm a few things to verify you are the owner.
- If you can no longer open the old login email, the same ownership check applies, and the Help Center links a contact page for it.
- Tell support which of your accounts are affected, and whether they are connected.
None of the pages read says how long a Bandcamp login stays active or why one might end, so this guide cannot say more about unexpected sign-outs than the steps above.
Where ADSSPEED fits
ADSSPEED is a desktop app for Windows and macOS that manages many browser profiles. Bandcamp suggests a new private window for activation links so that old browser data cannot interfere; in the same spirit, each ADSSPEED profile keeps its own cookies, local data and browser settings, so one account's browser data does not mix with another's. Profiles can be opened, stopped and organised in bulk, and profile data stays on your own computer. It does not change Bandcamp's login, reset or support steps. Setup is in installing ADSSPEED on Windows; for the basic idea, see what a browser profile is. ADSSPEED is not affiliated with Bandcamp.
Frequently asked questions
Why is my Bandcamp login not working?
The Help Center names these causes: several accounts sharing one login email, a forgotten password or username, reset or activation emails caught by spam filters, and browser issues such as disabled cookies, extensions, cache, security tools or the network. If you cannot open the login email, Bandcamp support must confirm you own the account.
Why does Bandcamp take me to the wrong account when I log in?
The Login help page says you probably have several accounts set up with the same email address and tells you to log in with your username instead, or to link the accounts under Settings. If fan and artist accounts are connected, you land on the artist page view and switch from the avatar menu.
How do I reset my Bandcamp password?
If you are logged out, use the password reset page; if you are logged in, the Help Center says you can change it from your Settings page. If reset emails do not arrive, it says spam filtering may be stopping them, so add support@bandcamp.com to your approved senders and try again.
Does Bandcamp have two-factor authentication?
None of the Help Center pages read for this guide describes two-factor authentication, and searches of the Help Center for two-factor and 2fa found no article on 3 October 2026. Check your own Settings page or ask Bandcamp support rather than assuming a second lock exists on a shared login.
How do I fix a Bandcamp login network error?
The Help Center has no page for a message with that name. Its General troubleshooting page ends with network checks: look at the network your computer uses, contact IT staff on a business or school network, and if you control the network settings, revert recent changes, disable firewalls or restart the networking hardware.
