Can you log in to two Zalo accounts on one computer? #

The Zalo Help Center pages read for this article do not explain how to open two accounts side by side in one Zalo PC window, so there is no official method to show you. What Zalo does publish is how to sign in to one account on Zalo PC or Zalo Web, plus a sentence in its terms saying it limits both the number of accounts a person may register and the number of devices an account can be signed in on at once.

This article rests on Zalo's Help Center (help.zalo.me), its Service Agreement and its Official Account guides, read on 3 October 2026. Almost all of Zalo's documentation is in Vietnamese, so a few key menu names are given once in Vietnamese, with a translation. If your version of Zalo shows an account switcher, use it, because that is Zalo's own tool.

How Zalo PC, Zalo Web and the phone app handle sign-in #

Zalo's "Download Zalo" Help page says the app is available on Android, iOS, Windows, Mac and Web. Zalo PC is downloaded from zalo.me/pc, and the web version lives at chat.zalo.me.

Because the QR code is always scanned by a phone that is already signed in, every account you open on a computer needs the phone for that exact account in your hand. Zalo also states that at any one time an account is linked to a single phone number.

One account on several computers: what Zalo says #

Zalo's Service Agreement, effective from 5 September 2026, says Zalo limits the number of compatible devices an account can be signed in on at the same time. It gives no number. Zalo's business articles, which show no publication date, say only one phone can be signed in to an account at a time, and they describe phone, Zalo PC and Zalo Web working together with messages synced between computer and phone.

Since the number is not published, do not trust a figure you read elsewhere. Check the real situation on the phone, in the login-devices list under Personal > Account and security (Quản lý thiết bị đăng nhập, "Manage login devices"), which Zalo tells you to review regularly.

Zalo does not rank these. The table shows what each option rests on and where it gets stuck.

Before you add a second account: a 5-step check #

1. Decide which account lives in Zalo PC and which on Zalo Web. An account that needs a long history belongs in Zalo PC, because Zalo says Zalo PC stores messages long term while Zalo Web keeps 14 days.
2. On each account's phone, open the login-devices list (Personal > Account and security > Manage login devices) to see where that account is signed in.
3. In Zalo PC go to Settings > General settings and set remember-login, app lock code and delete-history-on-sign-out to suit a private or a shared computer. Note that Exit (Thoát) only exits Zalo temporarily and the app keeps running in the background, while Sign out (Đăng xuất) signs the account out.
4. Open Zalo Web for the second account in its own browser profile. The steps are in the browser profile article.
5. Scan the QR code with that account's phone, read the sign-in details on the screen, then press Đăng nhập (Sign in). If the details look unfamiliar, press Từ chối (Decline).

If sign-in fails or the session disappears #

• Old messages are missing on Zalo Web: Zalo says this is expected, because the web version shows messages from your first sign-in and stores them for 14 days in the same browser. Use Zalo PC for a full history.
• Error 2028 on a computer: Zalo's common-errors page describes it as being unable to sign in to Zalo on a computer or laptop and tells you to change the account password.
• A "not a Zalo QR code" message: Zalo links this to the Zalo app on the phone not being updated to the latest version. Update, then scan again.
• Date and time out of sync: Zalo links errors 502, 647 and 2017 to the device clock not matching the Zalo app. Set the correct time or switch on automatic time zone in the device settings.
• A strange-device warning, activation code or verification request: see the article on logouts and warnings.
