How to Keep Several Zalo Web Accounts Apart With Chrome, Edge or Firefox Profiles (2026)

By ADSSPEED Team · Published · Updated · 5 min read

How do you keep two Zalo Web accounts signed in on one computer?

Give each account its own browser profile. Chrome's Help page says profiles keep bookmarks, history, passwords and other settings separate, and the Chromium documentation says profile data includes history, bookmarks and cookies. Two accounts in one profile share one set of site data, while two profiles do not.

Zalo's own advice points the same way. Its Help page says Zalo Web shows messages only from your first sign-in and keeps them for 14 days in the same browser, and recommends using a single browser for Zalo Web (read 3 October 2026). In practice that means tying each account to one fixed profile. For the basics, see what a browser profile is.

What a profile separates, and what it does not

ItemChrome profileFirefox container
Cookies and site dataSeparate per profileSeparate: cookies, localStorage, IndexedDB and cache
History and bookmarksSeparate per profileShared, not separated
Saved passwordsSeparate per profileDeliberately not separated
IP address and the computer itselfUnchanged, every profile runs on the same machineUnchanged
The phone that scans the QR codeStill needed, the phone of the matching accountStill needed

Edge profiles work in a similar way: Microsoft describes each profile as having its own settings, bookmarks and extensions. The key point is that a profile separates data, not your network connection. If the network address of each account matters to you, read proxy types explained.

Chrome, step by step

  1. Have the phone that is signed in to the right Zalo account ready.
  2. In Chrome, at the top right choose Profile, then Add Chrome profile. Pick a name, photo and colour scheme.
  3. In the new profile's window open chat.zalo.me and choose the QR option (VỚI MÃ QR, or QUÉT MÃ QR in one Help page, in the Vietnamese interface).
  4. Scan the code with Zalo on the phone. Read the sign-in details that appear, then press Đăng nhập (Sign in). If the details look unfamiliar, press Từ chối (Decline).
  5. For the next account, repeat in a different profile. The colour and photo help you see which window belongs to which account.
  6. Next time, open Chrome, choose Profile and pick the right profile for the account.

Edge and Firefox

  • Edge: use the profile icon at the top right, then Set up a new profile, and choose Personal or Work or school. Pick Start without your data if you do not want to carry data over. The profile opens in its own window.
  • Firefox: type about:profiles in the address bar, press Create a New Profile and follow the wizard. The Launch profile in new browser button runs that profile next to the one already open.
  • Firefox containers: they separate cookies, localStorage, IndexedDB and cache inside one window, but history and bookmarks stay shared. Button names vary between versions, so check each browser's own help page.

Naming, organising and handing over

Use a fixed naming pattern so you never sign in to the wrong account:

PartExamplePurpose
Client or shop codeSHOP-AnSee at once whose account it is
RoleCARE, SALESWhat the account is used for
Number01Tell apart several accounts with the same role

A full name might be SHOP-An CARE 01. A different colour per client group helps too.

On hand-over, treat it as passing control of the account's phone number and security email, not merely moving a profile. The new person signs in themselves with a QR code from that account's phone and is never given a password or OTP. Zalo's safety page says never to read out or type an OTP for anyone, and the terms say losses from a leaked password that are not Zalo's fault are not compensated. Zalo's community policy prohibits buying, selling or swapping Zalo accounts, so hand over only inside your own business. When someone leaves, change the password and check the device list on the phone.

Backups, storage and cleanup

  • Zalo stores message data on the device you use. Zalo Web keeps 14 days, while Zalo PC stores long term and syncs from the phone, so use Zalo PC for any account that needs a full history.
  • Backup in the phone app: Cá nhân > Cài đặt > Sao lưu và khôi phục (Personal > Settings > Backup and restore). Zalo's help says it backs up text messages, and files and videos are not in the backup.
  • Deleting a profile deletes its data. Chrome warns that bookmarks, history, passwords and other settings are erased from the computer when you remove a profile, so note what you need first.
  • A profile folder holds cookies. On Windows, Chrome's default user data folder is %LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data. Protect it like a login credential.

When ordinary profiles stop being enough

  • QR scanning always needs the phone. Every account still needs its own phone, even with profiles.
  • The "not a Zalo QR code" message: Zalo links it to the phone app not being on the latest version. Update, then scan again.
  • Zalo Web is for short-term use. For a long history, move that account to Zalo PC.
  • Growing numbers. With dozens of accounts, creating, naming and opening profiles by hand gets slow and error-prone. That is the point at which bulk management becomes useful.
  • Repeated sign-ins or unfamiliar-device warnings: read the article on logouts and warnings and Zalo's rules on multiple accounts.

Where ADSSPEED fits

Once hand-made profiles get hard to track, ADSSPEED, a desktop app for Windows and macOS, manages many browser profiles in one place. Each profile keeps its own cookies, local data and browser settings, a proxy can be set per profile or assigned to many in bulk, and profiles can be opened, stopped and organised in bulk. Profile data stays on your own computer.

Use only accounts you own or are authorised to manage, and follow Zalo's rules. ADSSPEED is not affiliated with Zalo.

Frequently asked questions

How do I log in to Zalo Web?

Open chat.zalo.me in a browser, choose the QR option, and scan the code on the screen with a phone that is already signed in to Zalo. Check the sign-in details that appear and press Đăng nhập, or Từ chối if anything looks unfamiliar.

Is there a Zalo web login with QR?

Yes. Zalo's QR page says that when signing in to Zalo PC or Web you choose the QR option, then use a phone signed in to Zalo to scan the code shown on Zalo PC or Web. Zalo also warns that QR sign-in can be abused for scams, so decline requests you did not start.

Is there a Zalo web login in English?

The pages read describe the login steps only in Vietnamese. Zalo PC's settings list a language option for Vietnamese or English, but the Help pages do not say what language Zalo Web uses, so check the page itself when you open it.

Can I use two Zalo accounts on one computer with browser profiles?

The Zalo pages read do not cover it. A common approach is one browser profile per Zalo Web account, each signed in by QR from that account's phone. Zalo's terms bar signing in through third-party software it has not approved, so use an ordinary browser by hand.

What is the difference between Zalo desktop and Zalo Web?

According to Zalo, Zalo Web is for short-term use and keeps messages for 14 days in the same browser, while Zalo PC stores messages long term and syncs them from your phone. Zalo PC is available for Windows and Mac.
