Can You Have Two Pinterest Accounts? What Pinterest's Rules Allow and Forbid

By ADSSPEED Team · Published · Updated · 5 min read

Does Pinterest allow you to have two accounts?

Yes, as long as each account has its own email and none is used to manipulate the platform. According to Pinterest's Help Center (read 3 October 2026), you can create an additional account that uses a different email, then connect the accounts to switch between them. The Community Guidelines (last updated May 2026) draw the line at purpose, not at the number of accounts.

What counts as manipulation, and is there an account limit?

The multiple-accounts bullet in the Spam section prohibits running accounts "with the purpose of manipulating the Pinterest platform" and gives no examples, so judge by purpose. Pinterest's own pages describe everyday cases: a second personal account, a business account for commercial use, and agencies managing a client's accounts through partner access. The guideline is aimed at the opposite: accounts run to manipulate the platform.

On quantity, the Help pages read for this guide give no maximum number of accounts. They do say Pinterest limits the total boards and follows an account can hold, with no limit on Pins you create or on followers. If you run accounts for a business, the client accounts guide covers ownership and access in general terms.

When should the second account be a business account?

Pinterest's Terms say that commercial use requires a business account and agreement to the Business Terms of Service, which take precedence where they conflict with the general Terms. You have two routes. You can convert a personal account, which keeps its Pins and followers, provided it is set to public and is not linked to another Pinterest account. Or you can create a new business account from a desktop device, using an email that no Pinterest account already uses. If you open an account for a company, organisation or other entity, both sets of Terms say you confirm that you are authorised to bind that entity. That matches the rule of using only accounts you own or are authorised to manage.

What happens when the rules are broken?

Pinterest's Enforcement page (last updated April 2025) lists what it can do: deactivate content or accounts, limit distribution so a Pin, board or account is not featured in recommendation surfaces, and restrict an account's ability to post or save. It says it may limit or remove boards or accounts for repeated violations or when they are dedicated to a policy violation.

The Account deactivation page says a deactivated account shows a notice at login, that single or repeat violations can lead to it, and that the violation types include spam and account security, which covers impersonation and third-party logins. The Terms add that Pinterest may terminate or suspend access for any violation and that, where appropriate, it gives written notice and you may appeal a decision you think was made in error.

How do you stay inside the rules?

  1. One email per account, and keep control of each mailbox, because recovery depends on it.
  2. Match the account to its use. Commercial work belongs on a business account.
  3. Keep each account's purpose separate and honest. Do not use your accounts to boost one another.
  4. Use only approved tools. The Community Guidelines forbid unapproved automation. When a third-party service asks for permission, Pinterest's help for connecting services says to review what it requests and to trust the service first.
  5. Do not share passwords. For teams, use Business Manager roles; see the business guide.
  6. Never create a replacement after a disablement without Pinterest's written permission.
  7. Re-read the Terms. The page shows an effective date of 30 April 2025 and announces an update effective 12 November 2026, with a preview.

What if your account is suspended or deactivated?

  1. Read the notice or the enforcement email, and note which rule it cites.
  2. Appeal in the product, through the Help Center, or with the one-click link in the enforcement email. Pinterest says it reviews appeals and updates its decision if it made a mistake, or in some cases to give people another chance to follow its rules.
  3. Use the Contact us option on the Help page if the notice is unclear.
  4. Do not open a new account to replace it. See the sign-in checks guide for recovery steps that do not involve a new account.

Where ADSSPEED fits

ADSSPEED does not change what Pinterest allows. It is a desktop app for Windows and macOS that manages many browser profiles, each with its own cookies, local data and browser settings, so accounts you are entitled to manage can stay signed in side by side. Profiles can be opened, stopped and organised in bulk, a proxy can be set per profile, and profile data stays on your own computer. Android phone profiles, each with its own device configuration, run mobile apps on a PC. ADSSPEED is not affiliated with Pinterest.

Frequently asked questions

Does Pinterest allow multiple accounts?

Yes, with conditions. The Help Center describes creating an additional account with a different email and connecting the accounts. The Community Guidelines forbid operating multiple accounts, or coordinating with others, to manipulate the platform, and forbid inauthentic accounts and accounts created en masse.

Can I create a second Pinterest account?

Yes. While logged in, open the account menu, choose Add Pinterest account, then Create a new personal account, and sign up with an email address that no other Pinterest account uses. Business accounts are created from a desktop device.

Can I use two Pinterest accounts with one email?

No. Pinterest allows one account per email address at any moment. To reuse an address, change the email on the first account in its settings or permanently close that account.

Is there a Pinterest account limit?

The Help pages read for this guide give no maximum number of accounts. They do say Pinterest limits the total boards and follows an account can hold, while there is no limit on Pins you create or on followers.

What happens if my Pinterest account is suspended?

You see an error or deactivation notice when you try to log in. Pinterest says appeals can be sent in the product, through the Help Center or with the one-click link in the enforcement email, and it updates its decision if it finds a mistake.

Can I make a new Pinterest account if mine was disabled?

Not without Pinterest's written permission. The Terms cover accounts it has disabled for breaking its Terms or policies, or for legal reasons, and say a new account then needs its express written permission, which it gives at its sole discretion.

Can I merge two Pinterest accounts?

Not at this time, according to the Help Center. You can keep both and switch between them, or keep one and deactivate or close the other. Pins cannot be moved in bulk; each must be saved again from the old account.
